Here's my final card (that I have ready) using scraps from my Cha Cha collection by TAC. Still have a few scraps left though, so one or two more cards will do it - then Cha Cha will be gone! It feels good to be using stuff up!!!
The stamp set is called "Sunday Stroll" by TAC.
These Tri-Shutter cards really do use quite a few scraps, depending on how you embellish it.
Hope you enjoyed my posts today (yes, there are two). Thanks for stopping by!
Another card using "scraps" from my Cha Cha Soar With It Collection by TAC. This paper pack is almost gone, YAY!
I used a giga scalloped oval punch, then bent each scallop up to distress it a bit. The border across the top of the bottom piece was made with my new EK Success edger punch that I got from Karolyn.
I left the inside of this one blank.
I started on a tri-shutter card that uses several scraps so I'll be showing you that one soon! In the mean time, I have a tutorial for a tri-shutter card HERE.
Make it a great day, Tootles!
WHEW! It has been one BUSY week around here! Two of the kids had swim camp every morning, then we went back for more swimming most afternoons. I had something going on every single evening. And tomorrow is my daughter's 7th birthday party (her first one with friends!) and right after that is a big family cookout here at our house. Then on Sunday, 3 of us are off to church camp for a week. Sheesh, when am I gonna pack?!
Anyway, haven't done a whole lot of stamping but I do have 3 more "scrap" cards ready. I'll show you one today, and schedule the others to post over the next week while I'm gone. All of them will be using scraps from the Cha Cha Soar With It Collection from The Angel Company. I'm determined to use up another paper pack!!!
I cut some 1/2" strips and wove them together. Also did some sewing here (but my little machine bit the dust. Looking into a Janome Sew Mini!)
The border at the bottom was made with my new Fiskars border punch that came in my HUGE pack of blog candy I won recently from Karolyn!
I laid down some more 1/2" strips on the inside too. Using those scraps up, oh yeah!
I wish I would have inked the edges of the white piece. I might try to remove it and do it anyway, ya just never know!
That's it for today. Have a wonderful weekend!
Today, I have a scrap mini-tutorial for you and I'm challenging you to TRY IT!
Here's a great way to use up some of those scraps:

1) Cut 10 pieces of scrap cardstock or paper to 4" x 1/2". If you don't have large enough patterned paper scraps, do some patterned and some solid then you can alternate them on your card.
2) Somewhere near the center, cut them in half diagonally. I cut 2 or 3 pieces at the same time, then took one of those pieces and laid it on top of another stack, using it for a cutting guide. This makes them all the same size. Be sure to keep all of the "left side" pieces together and all of the "right side" pieces together. Just in case your diagonal cut wasn't in the exact center, you're keeping the same-size pieces together. And you'll be able to make 2 cards using this technique, unless you want to piece them all together on one card which would work too! You'd be covering almost the entire card front - quick and easy!
Ok, so that's it for my directions and here are two cards I made with my pieces. I used scraps from my Cha Cha Soar With It Collection by TAC.
I staggered my scraps here, and made a simple card. I even used up some Cha Cha hardware and ribbon!
This one's a little more detailed, just to show you another idea for these pieces.

So here's the challenge - get out YOUR scraps, use this technique to make 2 cards, and then come back here and leave a comment with a link so we can see them! I can't wait to see what you come up with!!!
Have a great week, Tootles!
I'm very glad so many of you are enjoying my "scrap" cards! Suzanne reminded me that she has one on page 47 of the new TAC catalog so I looked it up and found an acronym for the word SCRAPS there:

Pretty cute, huh?!
Ok, so here are two more cards I made with my scraps from the Mimi Soar With It Collection by The Angel Company:
Not real happy with this one since the boxes across the bottom are not lined up perfectly. Can we say OCD?!
Here's the inside. Simple, but uses up more scraps! This stamp set is from TAC.
And here's card #2.

Again, simple inside, but great use of scraps.
So for tomorrow, I have two more Mimi scrap cards to show you and that is it for this collection! I am very excited to actually USE UP something instead of just collecting supplies, know what I mean?!
After that, I have two scrap cards from the Cha Cha collection by TAC, along with a mini-tutorial and a challenge! That will be in a couple days, so stay tuned!
Just a simple card. I'm doing a series of cards using up some designer paper scraps. I have several Soar With It Collections from The Angel Company that only have small pieces left. How do you use up your scraps/small pieces? I'd love some more ideas!
Anyway, here's a simple card using pieces from the Mimi collection.

I'll be back tomorrow with 2 more Mimi scrap cards!
Make it a great day, Tootles!
