Coaster Christmas Countdown

Here is one of my favorite projects I've made for this Christmas! It's a Christmas Countdown! Check it out!

I used:
(2) 4" square coasters
Scalloped Square and Labels One Nestibilities Dies
SU! paper
Simple-bet stamp set from The Angel Company
Palette L'Amore Red Ink
Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch
Crystal Stickles
6 square white brads
Bind-it-All with 5/8" red wires
white gel pen

Here's a closer view of the front to show the "bling".

When you flip the front cover over, it stands up on it's own like an easel. First, I printed all the numbers using a Snowbiz font I have on my computer. I colored them with Tombow markers, then used a tag-shaped punch to cut them out. The green tag layer was cut with a trimmer and scissors, but of course if you have another size tag punch it would be much quicker. I have numbers 0-9 on both sides so you could start counting down the days at 99 "Days Til Christmas" if you wanted, LOL!

After gluing the white and green tags together, I punched a hole in the top of each one with the small hole on my Crop-a-Dile. Next I placed them in between the two covers and used the Bind-It-All to bind it all together.

Here's a closer view of some numbers.

This sentiment was computer generated.

I made the numbers and the sentiment in Microsoft Word. My white tags are 1" wide so that gave me an idea of what size font to use. Just print yours out on copy paper first until you get what you need, THEN print it on cardstock.

Enjoy your week, Tootles!

Oh, and let me know if you make one of these! Leave your link below:

OK - I love all of your stuff...but this is by far the very, very cutest. I see these made up for small children so they can place it by their bed and count down the days to Christmas before going to sleep each night...at least that's what I'm going to tell my Grandchildren when I give them each one!!

Wonderful Idea and thanks for sharing ALL of your great ideas!

Vicki, I popped over here from the Shack -- thanks a LOT! Now I need a BIA! This countdown to Christmas is one of the neatest projects I have ever seen. What a cool baby gift! I would love your template. Nancy (directmailscrapper)
