Here's the top view. I used the Hemingway cardstock collection from The Angel Company for this project.
The sentiment is from a retired greetings set from TAC. I also added a Bazzill Bitty Blossom, and as you can see - the Martha Stewart Branch punch which I love! (I realize I kept calling it the fern punch last week, sorry!)
Here's the side view, nothing fancy here.
Here's where the party starts! When you remove the lid, this pops up. This sentiment is from the TAC stamp set "Blessings".
Here's what happens when you pull it up. The gift card is in the middle section.
And here's the bottom, which is adhered to the inside of the box. I used the TAC Simple-bet stamp set to make this sentiment.
Here are some brief instructions:
Box Bottom
Cut cardstock to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Score at 3/4" on each side. Cut once at each corner, adhering tabs on the inside.
Lid
Cut cardstock 3 7/8" x 5 1/8". Score at 1/2" on each side. Cut once at each corner, adhering tabs on the inside.
Insert
Cut cardstock to 3 3/4" x 7 1/2". Score at 2 1/2" and 5", folding accordian style. Embellish as desired. Make tabs on the middle section to hold the gift card. It's not really wide enough to use the SU! Slit Punch here so I punched a 1" circle and folded them in half for each end. Then I added 1/2 of a glue dot behind the front of the circle and this holds the gift card in place. The glue dot will easily rub off of the gift card's slick surface later. But for now, it will not slide down when I pull the insert up out of the box. The third section will be adhered to the inside of the box bottom.
Thanks for stopping by, Tootles!
If you make one of these, be sure to come back and add your link to the list below! I'd love to see it!
