Cute little boxes

I was able to get a template for the CUTEST little gift boxes from Sherry (owner/admin of Stamp Shack). Check them out on her blog HERE. Of course I had to try it out right away.

All you need is Sherry's template, a Scor-pal (optional of course), scissors, and glue.

Ok, this was my first attempt, using double-sided cardstock from K&Co. The yellow box bottom was supposed to be a contrasting insert for the flowered box, but it turned out to be too big to fit inside. But as I always say, no mistakes in stamping, right?! Waste not! I just made a regular lid for it to be it's own little gift box.

I just LOVE how the box on the left opens - that's why I fell in love with them. Something completely different and unique from what I've seen! Of course with the double-sided cardstock, a contrasting insert isn't necessary anyway.

Here's my second one. After tweaking the measurements slightly, this one came together nicely.

And here's the open view, WITH a contrasting insert.

These boxes are approximately a 2" square. Ever-so-tiny but great for candies, money, jewelry, etc. I do plan to make some larger versions. Like cupcake size. Not that I make/give cupcakes as gifts, but that's the size I'd like to make.

Thanks for stopping by today, Tootles!

I'd really love to try making one, but it looks like the template has been removed from the blog where you found it...
