Dress Cards

I got the inspiration for these cards from the ones that Barb made HERE. I thought hers were soooo cute that I just had to make my own! Like Barb, I made my own template. It's really pretty simple: use a piece of 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" scratch paper, freehand draw one side of the dress, fold the paper in half and trace it to make the other side look the same. The neckline is of course made by a circle punch.

These cards are PERFECT for the Wing It Collections by The Angel Company! Most of these patterned paper stacks have sheets with a border down one side. Using the edge of the border as the "waistline" on these dresses is a brilliant idea!

Here are four dress cards that I made. They go pretty quick once you have your template made.
Barb's idea made me actually like the Wing It Collection "Frutti Fusion"! I have a whole stack of this paper but I'm not too much into "brights" so I rarely use it. The dress above has a couple Paper Posies at the side of the waistline.

Here's another dress from the Frutti Fusion paper. Each one of my cards has a very subtle embellishment of some kind. I wanted to keep them sweet and simple. This one has ribbon tied around the waist.

This one is made from the retired Wing It Collection "Vintage Holiday". The red eyelets down the side of the skirt kind of remind me of buttons.

This paper is from the "Rustic Chic" Wing It Collection. I added some Polo Button brads from TAC to the waistline.

I used a different pair of decorative scissors on the hemline of each dress. The scallops at the neckline were made with the Marvy Mega Circle and Giga Scalloped Circle punches.

Hope to inspire you too! Have a great day, Tootles!

These are so sweet! It's amazing how one template can look so different just by the paper used. Great job!
